Like all HVAC contractors, we recognize the amount of time our service vans spend on the road traveling from call to call. We know from personal experience that the usual lettering of our vans blends in with the traffic. Our vans were as invisible as our competitors - whose vans are as invisible as ours were. We have been using CopyRider Marketing Systems on our service vans for 5 months. We have received many comments from friends and customers on them. We rely predominantly on our customer list for our direct mail marketing purposes. We have chosen CopyRider as our method of new customer acquisition. It works. Our ads run the gamut from water heaters to duct cleaning to the new 13 SEER minimums. We use words and great graphics to "tell the stories" very quickly and concisely. I'm going to have you do different scroll sets this off-season but for now I need one for the van that's torn. We have been using CopyRider units for approximately 7 months. The response has been very good. We decided to use them to promote a new product (gas grilles) and offer it at a very attractive price. Within one week, we had 11 calls and had sold 6 units. Within 3 weeks, we had a total of 24 calls and sold 14 units. At that time, we raised the price. The following 2 weeks, we got another 10 calls and sold 4 units. We were able to upgrade about 50% of the sales from the base unit to a more expensive model. We are now at the five month point. Two months ago, we received our new scroll set without the “special”. We have gotten calls for duct cleaning and tune-ups from the ads but nothing like the special we ran. We can tell when our trucks are on the road because we get calls from cell phones. They see the ads and call us. We ran an ad for a very good deal on a humidifier with duct cleaning. We have two service techs and an office person with fluency in Spanish but we had no good way to advertise to this large part of our community. CopyRider is the answer. Great concept! We ran two help wanted ads for cable installers on our ad scrolls. Within a month, we had filled the four positions we had open.
